Warranty Information
1. Introduction
Lebotag provides information about warranty coverage for label printers, printing equipment, printing consumables, cable labelling solutions, and related labelling products supplied through our business.
Warranty coverage, duration, conditions, and claim procedures vary depending on the product, manufacturer, brand, and applicable purchase terms. Customers should refer to the product listing, quotation, invoice, manufacturer’s warranty documentation, or other purchase documents for the specific warranty applicable to their purchase.
This Warranty Information page should be read together with Lebotag’s Return Policy and Terms and Conditions.
2. Warranty Coverage
2.1 Label Printers and Printing Equipment
Label printers and other printing equipment may be covered by a manufacturer’s warranty. Where applicable, the warranty period and coverage will be communicated through the relevant product information or purchase documentation.
Coverage may apply to manufacturing defects or hardware malfunctions occurring during normal use and within the applicable warranty period, subject to the manufacturer’s terms.
2.2 Printing Consumables and Accessories
Label tapes, thermal labels, barcode labels, printer accessories, and other consumables may be subject to different warranty conditions depending on their nature and the manufacturer’s terms.
Consumables that have been opened, used, or stored improperly may require additional assessment when a product quality concern is reported.
2.3 Warranty Periods
Lebotag does not apply one universal warranty period to every product. Customers should confirm the applicable warranty period before purchase where this information is relevant to their decision.
Any warranty expressly provided in the applicable purchase documentation will be considered alongside the manufacturer’s terms and applicable legal requirements.
3. Situations That May Affect Warranty Coverage
Warranty coverage may be affected where inspection establishes that a fault resulted from circumstances outside the applicable warranty terms, including:
- Misuse, negligence, or accidental damage.
- Incorrect installation, configuration, or operation.
- Use of incompatible consumables, accessories, or power supplies contrary to manufacturer instructions.
- Electrical surges, unsuitable voltage, liquid exposure, or other environmental damage.
- Unauthorised repairs, tampering, or modifications.
- Damage caused by improper handling, storage, or transportation after delivery.
- Normal wear and tear or depletion of consumables during ordinary use.
The applicability of any exclusion will depend on the facts, the relevant warranty terms, and applicable law. Nothing in this policy removes rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
4. How to Make a Warranty Claim
Customers who believe a product has developed a fault covered by warranty should follow these steps:
Step 1: Contact Lebotag
Contact us using the telephone number, WhatsApp, or email address provided below. Describe the issue and indicate when the product was purchased.
Step 2: Provide Purchase Details
Please provide the available supporting information, which may include:
- Order number, receipt, or tax invoice.
- Product name, brand, and model number.
- Serial number, where applicable.
- Description of the fault and when it began.
- Photographs or video evidence, where relevant.
- Information about the installation, operating conditions, and consumables used, where relevant to the fault.
Step 3: Follow Assessment Instructions
We may request additional information, troubleshooting, or a physical inspection to help determine the cause of the problem and the applicable warranty terms.
Customers should not send or deliver products for assessment before confirming the appropriate procedure with Lebotag.
Step 4: Warranty Assessment and Resolution
Following assessment, the available resolution will depend on the nature of the fault, the applicable warranty, manufacturer requirements, product availability, and applicable law.
Where appropriate, possible outcomes may include repair, replacement, or another lawful remedy. A particular outcome is not guaranteed before the claim has been assessed.
5. Warranty Assessment and Transportation
Where a product needs to be presented or sent for assessment, Lebotag will communicate the applicable arrangements.
Any transportation costs, inspection arrangements, and return delivery costs will be explained based on the circumstances, applicable warranty terms, and legal requirements. Customers should obtain confirmation of these arrangements before sending a product.
6. Customer Responsibilities
To support the assessment of a warranty claim, customers should:
- Retain their purchase documentation and applicable warranty information.
- Install, operate, and maintain products according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
- Use compatible labels, tapes, accessories, and other supplies where required.
- Stop using equipment if continued operation could cause further damage or create a safety risk.
- Provide accurate information about the fault and the conditions under which it occurred.
- Follow the agreed procedure for product inspection or return.
7. Statutory Consumer Rights
This policy does not replace or restrict any consumer rights, implied warranties, or other protections that apply under Kenyan law.
The Consumer Protection Act, 2012, includes provisions concerning the quality of goods and implied warranties in consumer agreements. Applicable rights and remedies will depend on the transaction and the relevant legal provisions. You may review the Consumer Protection Act on Kenya Law.
