General Terms and Conditions

Last Updated: October 15, 2026

Welcome to Lebotag. These General Terms and Conditions govern your use of our website, enquiries, quotations, purchases, and business relationship with us. By using our website or placing an order through our official sales channels, you agree to these terms, subject to applicable Kenyan law.

1. General Information

Lebotag is a Kenya-based business specialising in label printers, printing consumables, cable labelling solutions, and labelling products for businesses, organisations, and individuals.

Our product range includes label printers, label tapes, thermal labels, barcode labels, cable labelling products, printing consumables, and related accessories, subject to product availability.

2. Orders and Payments

Orders may be placed through our website or other official Lebotag sales channels.

2.1 Accepted Payment Methods

Accepted payment methods include:

  • Mobile money payments through M-Pesa and Airtel Money.
  • Direct electronic bank transfers, including EFT and RTGS.
  • Cash on Delivery (COD) for qualifying orders within Nairobi and surrounding areas, subject to applicable delivery arrangements.

Orders delivered outside Nairobi require advance payment before dispatch unless another arrangement has been expressly agreed in writing.

All payments are primarily quoted and processed in Kenya Shillings (KES). Other currencies may be accepted only where expressly agreed and stated on the official quotation or invoice.

2.2 Payment Verification

An order is considered paid only after the payment has been verified and confirmed by Lebotag or the relevant payment provider. Submission of an unverified payment message, screenshot, or transaction claim does not by itself constitute confirmation of payment.

Where advance payment is required, an order will be prepared for dispatch or collection after payment confirmation, subject to product availability and order verification.

2.3 Quotations and Invoices

Official quotations and invoices may specify product descriptions, quantities, unit prices, applicable taxes, delivery charges, and payment requirements. A quotation is valid for the period stated on that quotation.

Any agreed variation to the quotation or order should be confirmed in writing by Lebotag.

3. Pricing and Taxes

Product prices may change without prior notice. The price applicable to a particular order will be the price confirmed on the relevant quotation, invoice, or order confirmation.

Applicable delivery charges and other fees will be communicated before the order is completed or dispatched.

Prices and services are subject to applicable taxes, including Value Added Tax (VAT) at the prevailing statutory rate where applicable. Any applicable taxes will be reflected in the relevant quotation or invoice.

Where a quotation has expired, stock availability or pricing may need to be reconfirmed before the order is accepted.

4. Shipping and Delivery

Lebotag offers delivery and collection arrangements depending on the product, order size, destination, stock availability, and logistical requirements.

4.1 Order Processing and Dispatch

Orders placed by 4:00 PM, Monday through Saturday, are generally processed for same-day dispatch, subject to product availability, order verification, and payment confirmation where required.

Orders received after 4:00 PM, on Sundays, or on public holidays are generally processed on the next applicable business day.

Standard handling time is generally one business day. Processing and dispatch times are estimates and do not guarantee delivery at a particular time.

4.2 Standard Delivery

Standard delivery is available for eligible orders across Kenya.

  • Standard delivery fee: KES 500 for eligible standard and medium-sized packages.
  • Estimated transit time: Generally 1–3 business days following dispatch.
  • Bulky or oversized items: Special transport arrangements and additional charges may apply. The applicable arrangements and charges will be communicated before dispatch.
  • Delivery outside Nairobi: Full advance payment is required before dispatch unless otherwise agreed in writing.
  • Cash on Delivery: Available for qualifying orders within Nairobi and surrounding areas, subject to applicable delivery arrangements. COD is not available for deliveries outside Nairobi.

Delivery estimates may vary depending on the destination, courier availability, road and weather conditions, public holidays, and other logistical factors. Delivery dates are estimates and are not guaranteed.

4.3 Free Local Collection

Customers may collect eligible orders from Lebotag’s Nairobi office at no additional collection charge, subject to confirmation that the order is ready.

Customers should wait for collection confirmation and may be asked to provide order details or identification when collecting their purchases.

4.4 Delivery Inspection and Reporting Problems

Customers are encouraged to inspect their orders upon delivery or collection.

Visible transit damage, missing items, or incorrectly supplied products must be reported within 15 calendar days of delivery or collection. Customers should provide their order details and clear photographs or other supporting evidence.

Such reports will be reviewed to determine the appropriate resolution under the Returns and Refund Policy and applicable law.

For further details, please refer to Lebotag’s Shipping and Delivery Policy.

5. Returns, Refunds, and Replacements

Returns, refunds, exchanges, and replacement requests are governed by Lebotag’s Returns and Refund Policy and applicable Kenyan law.

5.1 Standard Returns

Eligible standard return requests, including change-of-mind returns, must be initiated within 15 calendar days of delivery or collection.

For a standard change-of-mind return to be considered, the product should generally be:

  • Unused, uninstalled, and unaltered.
  • Undamaged and in its original, resalable condition.
  • Returned with its original packaging, manuals, cables, accessories, and other supplied items, where applicable.
  • Accompanied by proof of purchase, such as an official invoice or order receipt.

Products that have been used, installed, modified, or damaged after delivery may not qualify for a change-of-mind return.

Special-order or customised items and products that cannot reasonably be resold may also be excluded from standard returns, subject to applicable statutory rights.

5.2 Damaged, Missing, Defective, or Incorrect Items

Transit damage, missing items, and incorrectly supplied products must be reported within 15 calendar days of delivery or collection, with supporting evidence where available.

Confirmed defects or fulfilment errors will be assessed for an appropriate remedy, which may include repair, replacement, refund, or another remedy available under applicable law.

5.3 Return Costs and Restocking Fees

No restocking fee is charged under the standard return arrangements described in this policy.

For a confirmed defect or error attributable to Lebotag, the return transportation or collection cost will be covered by Lebotag.

For an eligible change-of-mind return, the customer is responsible for the return shipping or courier cost. Original standard delivery charges are non-refundable for change-of-mind returns, subject to applicable law.

5.4 Return Authorisation and Refunds

Customers must contact Lebotag before sending a product back. Returns should not be sent without first receiving instructions from our team.

Returned products may be inspected to assess their condition, packaging, accessories, and eligibility for a refund, replacement, or other resolution.

Approved refunds are generally processed within 14 business days following the relevant inspection and approval. Refunds will ordinarily be made through the original payment method where reasonably possible. Actual receipt of funds may depend on the relevant bank or payment provider.

Nothing in these terms excludes any consumer rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded.

For the full procedure, please refer to the Returns and Refund Policy.

6. Warranty Information

Warranty coverage varies according to the manufacturer, brand, product type, and terms supplied at the time of purchase.

Where a product carries a manufacturer’s warranty, the applicable warranty period and conditions should be stated on the product listing, quotation, invoice, warranty document, or other relevant purchase documentation.

Warranty coverage generally applies to manufacturing defects or hardware failures occurring during normal use in accordance with the product’s instructions.

Unless the applicable warranty expressly provides otherwise, warranty coverage may exclude damage arising from:

  • Misuse, neglect, accidental damage, or improper installation.
  • Unauthorised repairs, modifications, or tampering.
  • Exposure to liquids, unsuitable environmental conditions, or electrical problems where relevant to the product.
  • Normal wear and tear or consumable depletion.
  • Software issues, incorrect settings, or operating conditions outside the manufacturer’s recommendations.

Warranty claims may require proof of purchase and technical assessment. The available remedy depends on the applicable warranty terms, the assessment outcome, and relevant legal requirements.

Consumables, label tapes, thermal labels, printheads, and other accessories may have product-specific warranty conditions. Customers should check the applicable product documentation.

For more information, please refer to Lebotag’s Warranty Information page.

7. Credit Facilities

Credit facilities may be considered for eligible business, institutional, or commercial customers following a formal assessment and written approval by Lebotag.

Credit is not automatic and may be subject to trading history, financial standing, business documentation, and other relevant checks.

Where credit is approved, the credit limit, invoice due dates, payment period, and other conditions will be communicated in writing. Customers must settle invoices within the agreed period.

Lebotag may review, adjust, or suspend an approved credit facility where justified by payment history, changes in creditworthiness, or other relevant commercial considerations, subject to applicable law and any written credit agreement.

Overdue balances may result in suspension of further credit purchases and lawful recovery action. Any retention-of-title or security arrangement will apply only where validly agreed and enforceable under applicable law.

Please refer to Lebotag’s Credit Terms and Conditions for further details.

8. Privacy and Cookies

Lebotag handles personal information in accordance with its Privacy Policy and applicable Kenyan data protection laws, including the Data Protection Act, 2019.

Information provided through enquiries, orders, payments, delivery arrangements, returns, warranty claims, or credit applications may be used for legitimate business purposes, including order processing, customer support, payment verification, delivery coordination, record keeping, and legal compliance.

Our website may use cookies or similar technologies depending on its configuration. Please refer to the Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy for further information about data handling and cookie preferences.

9. Customer Responsibilities

Customers are responsible for:

  • Providing accurate billing, delivery, contact, and order information.
  • Reviewing product descriptions, compatibility information, and specifications before placing an order.
  • Following manufacturer instructions for the installation, operation, storage, and use of products.
  • Ensuring that products selected are suitable for their intended application.
  • Making payments according to the agreed terms.
  • Using the website and Lebotag’s sales channels for lawful purposes.

Customers should contact Lebotag before ordering if they require clarification about a product’s specifications, compatibility, consumables, or intended use.

10. Product Information and Availability

Lebotag endeavours to provide accurate product descriptions, images, and specifications. However, product images may be illustrative, and minor variations in packaging, appearance, or manufacturer presentation may occur.

Product availability may change without notice. Where an item becomes unavailable after an order is placed, Lebotag will communicate the available options, which may include waiting for stock, selecting an agreed alternative, or receiving a refund where applicable.

Customers should not rely on an unconfirmed technical specification, compatibility claim, warranty period, or delivery date. Where a specification is material to the purchase, it should be confirmed in the product documentation or in writing by Lebotag.

11. Website Use and Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise stated, the content published on the Lebotag website, including text, graphics, branding, product descriptions, and other materials, is protected by applicable intellectual property laws or used with permission.

You may use the website for lawful browsing, enquiries, and purchases. You must not reproduce, distribute, modify, or commercially exploit website content without the relevant permission, except where permitted by law.

You must not attempt to interfere with website security, disrupt its operation, submit fraudulent information, or use the website for unlawful activities.

12. Limitation of Liability

Lebotag will exercise reasonable care in processing orders and communicating product and delivery information.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Lebotag is not responsible for delays or failures caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including courier disruptions, severe weather, road closures, public holidays, supplier delays, stock shortages, or interruptions to essential services.

Lebotag is not responsible for damage caused by misuse, incorrect installation, unauthorised modification, or failure to follow applicable product instructions, except where liability cannot lawfully be excluded.

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes any liability, consumer protection, or other statutory right that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded under Kenyan law.

13. Events Beyond Reasonable Control

Where circumstances beyond Lebotag’s reasonable control prevent or delay performance of an order, we will take reasonable steps to address the situation and communicate material changes where practicable.

Any revised delivery or fulfilment arrangements will depend on the circumstances and applicable legal requirements.

14. Complaints and Dispute Resolution

Customers are encouraged to contact Lebotag first if they have a complaint about a product, order, payment, delivery, return, or other transaction.

We will seek to review complaints and resolve them fairly through direct communication where possible. If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, either party may pursue the remedies available under applicable Kenyan law.

15. Governing Law

These General Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of Kenya.

Any dispute arising from the use of the website or a transaction with Lebotag will be handled in accordance with applicable Kenyan law and the jurisdiction of the competent courts or other legally authorised dispute-resolution bodies.

16. Changes to These Terms

Lebotag may update these General Terms and Conditions when its business operations, website, products, or legal obligations change.

The latest version will be published on this page with an updated date. Changes will apply subject to applicable law and will not remove rights that customers have already acquired under law.

Customers should review this page periodically.
